Cheese Stuffed Crescent Rolls

I say this recipe (Air Fryer Mozzarella Bites (fromvalskitchen.com) and I knew I had to try this.

I told my husband to bring back block mozzarella cheese, he brought back the soft (fresh?) kind. I rolled with it.

I placed a piece of cheese on a crescent roll.

Folded the top corners in.

Rolled it up. Make sure the edges are sealed. Bake per instructions on crescent roll package.

If you don't seal the edges, the cheese will melt through.
Still tasty though. I might try a different cheese that won't quite melt very easy.

Awesome Blondie Bars

I made these Awesome Blondie Bars based off an idea from a dessert I ordered during a recent Branson trip from the Paula Dean-s Family Kitchen.  These bars are based of the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake. When I ate this cake, I thought the bottom was a graham butter crust with a sugar cookie on top. So, I created a dessert that has a graham cracker crust and a blondie on top.

After actually finding the actual recipe, it turned out that is not the case. However, I am now going to share how I made this Awesome Bar recipe.

For the crust you will need:

Sleeve Graham crackers- about 18 crackers1/4 cup sugarStick melted butter about 6-8 tablespoons. I thought a stick was a little too much (if that is a thing). when I make this again, I will cut it back to 6 tablespoons. For the filling you will need:1/4 cup butter1 cup brown sugar1 egg3/4 cup flour1 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Optional mix ins - I used a 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and coconut flakes I had left over.

Preheat oven to 350 F

Grind up the graham crackers into crumbs. Add the sugar and melted butter. press into greased 8- or 9-inch pan, I used a 9-inch pan. I did not prebake the crust. (I might try prebaking it next time)

For the filling, cream the butter, brown sugar and egg. Add the remaining ingredients. I should note that I thought the filling was way too stiff, so I did add a few tablespoons of mild.  Add the filling on top of the graham cracker crust. Bake 20-25 minutes until done.

What We Ate During Our Branson Vacation

My husband and I spend a few days on vacation in Branson, Missouri over my birthday, We got to see a few attractions and got to see the only show that showing at the time of our visit. There were a lot establishments not open over the time we where there.

In essence, this is another Tasty Eats post focusing on what we had over our vacation. On the way down to Branson, we decided to stop at the Precious Moments Chapel. Attached to the gift shop is an Italian restaurant. It was time for lunch, so I enjoyed an eggplant Parmesan sub sandwich.

That evening we went to a sea food restaurant. We had a spinach and artichoke dip with crab, a fried seafood platter, and banana foster for dessert. Even sharing this food with my husband, we were very full. It was tasty though.

The last time we were in Branson, we went to a Belgium Waffle and Pancake house for breakfast. Unfortunately this restaurant was closed for the season. So we had Denny's.

Later on we went to a cat café for smoothies.

That evening we Paula Dean Family restaurant. The unique thing about this restaurant is that you order for the table. We got two entrees, fried chicken and short ribs. We got 4 sides, mashed potatoes, poppy seed salad (my favorite), tomato and cucumber salad, and coleslaw. The sides and the entree was all you could eat, so you could not take any home. But you can take dessert home. Dessert was included in the meal. I forgot to get a photo of dinner, but I got a photo of a t-shirt from the gift shop.
And we did bring home dessert, this was mine. It was called ooey gooey butter cake, but it looks (and tastes) more like a cookie than a cake.

For breakfast on our last day there, we hit up Hurts Donut.
Later on we went to a Guy Fieri restaurant. My husband the cheeseburger, I had BBQ wings, and cheesecake for dessert. This turned out to be the last big meal in Branson.

We did go to a fudge shop, I got a caramel, chocolate, and pecan cover Rice Krispie treat.
On our way back home we stopped at a BBQ place. My husband got a pulled pork sandwich, and I got a cheese burger, with burnt ends on Texas toast.

That wraps up our Branson food tour. There were several restaurants we would of liked to go. But as I mentioned earlier, they were closed for the season.

Tasty Eats - Recipes from a Deadpool Cookbook.

I was in the mood for hamburgers, so I followed a recipe from the Deadpool cookbook my husband got.  Deadpool is a Marvel superhero, he is one of my husband's favorite superhero.  The recipes in this cookbook look delicious. There is a recipe in the book called All American Hero (I think). This recipe called for an apple pie type filling and had blue cheese in it. The apple pie filling did not sound appetizing, and I don't like blue cheese. I just did the hamburger portion, Which had a pound of ground beef, a pound of ground pork, 2T apple cider vinegar, and salt and pepper.
I also did Street Corn. I had to modifiy this recipe too, since my husband can't hand spicy food. I left out the spicy peppers and substituted roasted red pepper from the jar.
I also made banana bread for breakfast but made it in a large muffin tin.

Homemade Spaghetti with Creamy Tomato Recipe

I don't think it is too difficult to make to make homemade pasta, but it is a lot of work. I left links in the related posts section on where to find the recipe I used.

For the basic creamy tomato sauce, I melted 1/2 cup of butter with two 8-ounce cans of tomato sauce. Then add 2 6-ounce cans of tomato paste with a pint of whipping cream. Add seasoning and spices to your liking. I added salt, pepper, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning.

Here are some photos of making the pasta.
