Cooking My First Thanksgiving Meal

Yesterday, I cooked a Thanksgiving meal for the first time (at least s far as I could remember). Usually, my husband does the cooking, but he just had back surgery and is unable to cook.

I did not make turkey, I did ham. Along with the ham, I made green bean casserole, scalloped potatoes, cornbread, and Stove Top stuffing.

For lunch, I made up some brown and serve rolls to use as sliders for the turkey lunch meat, cheese, and a pickle.

I had an avocado, so I added mayo, apple cider vinegar, and spices to make a dip/sauce.

My husband is still in a rehab facility recovering from back surgery, I did get to spring him for the day. He did enjoy his time with the family and everyone enjoyed the food.

I did make a video about my Thanksgiving experience, so I do hope you get a chance to check it out:

Peanut Butter Cheesecake Brownies with Reeses Pieces

I hope you are already intrigued by the title, My son had a birthday recently and requested brownies with Reeses Pieces in them. I was originally going to make this recipe, which is a very good brownie recipe, However, I found the peanut butter cheesecake brownie recipe on the box of Baker's chocolate and I knew I had to make it.

To make these brownies you will need:
4 ounces of unsweetened chocolate - broken into smaller pieces.
3/4 cup butter
2 1/2 cups of sugar (divided)
5 eggs (divided)
1 cup of flour
8-ounce package of cream cheese
1/2 cup peanut butter.
4 ounces of Reeses Pieces

Line a 13 x 9-inch pan with foil and grease with cooking spray,
Melt the chocolate and the butter. I did this in a large microwave-safe glass bowl to make the brownies. Mix in the flour, 2 cups of sugar, and 4 eggs. Fold in some of the Reeses Pieces.

In the meantime, mix the cream cheese, peanut butter, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 egg.

Pour the brownie mix into the prepared pan. Dollop the peanut butter mixture on top of the brownie mixture

Food Shorts

Do you enjoy a good Short? Whether it is found on Tik Tok, YouTube, or another platform I am not aware?

I recently did some food shorts recently on YouTube and I will show them all from least popular to most popular,

First at only 6 views as of November 4, 2022
Cinnamon Sugar Toast. This was disappointing, what is not to love about cinnamon and sugar on butter toast. Delicious and simple.

Next, with only 16 views, Turkey Meatballs. I get it. Probably doesn't sound appetizing, but it was delicious.

Next at 26 views, I Had a Veggie Burger at Culver's. What I liked about this burger is that it was a veggie burger and not a soy burger trying to look and taste like a real burger. If you are going to be a veggie burger, then look like and taste like a veggie burger. The one at Culver's was tasty.

Next at 156 views, Chocolate Croissant from Panera Bread. My husband and I had Panera Bread for dinner and I brought home a chocolate croissant for breakfast the next day. it was delicious.

Next at 696 views, Pop Tart Bites. My son bought these for me while we were at the convenience store.

Finally, at 3.4K views, IHOP Breakfast. My husband and I had breakfast after my husband had a doctor's appointment he had to fast for. I had a ham and egg melt and buttermilk pancake on the side.

I don't know the secret of getting views on a short, but I am bound to make more food shorts.
