Banana Waffles

Therefore I give you banana waffles:
1 3/4 cup flour
1 T baking powder
1/4 t salt
1/8 t each cinnamon and nutmeg
2 eggs. yolks and whites separated
1 3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 mashed banana
Combine dry ingredients. Combine egg yolks, milk, and vegetable oil and add to dry ingredients. Whip up the egg whites to stiff peaks. Fold in mashed banana and the egg whites. Bake in waffle iron according to manufactures directions.
**Note** If you want to make easier, you don't have to separate the eggs, just add the eggs whole to the wet ingredients.
However, the secret to light and fluffy waffles is to beat up the egg whites.

DIY KFC Bowl
My husband wanted to my a version if the KFC Bowl at home.
Enjoy!
To each bowl he added:
Mash potatoes, I would add no more than a cup per bowl, there was way too much potatoes when my husband made them
1/2 cup corn
1 ounce cheese
5 Chicken nuggets, cooked to package directions, cut into pieces
And cover it all with gravy, about 1/2 cup.
Enjoy!

Steak Supreme And Mushroom Wild Rice
My husband was inspired to make these after seeing The Pioneer Woman on the Food Network

Steak Supreme
Steak Supreme

4 8 oz. steaks (your choice of cut)
20 31-40 count shrimp (Tail off and deviened)
8 oz. Bacon fried crisp, drained, and coarsely cut
2 cups Hollandaise sauce (for easy purposes use the package mix and just follow the directions)
Cook steaks to desired temperature (I recommend medium), Cook shrimp until done, and make sauce. Place steak on plate, top with 2 oz. bacon, add the 5 shrimp, and then top with sauce. Key to recipe is to time it so all ingredients are done cooking at the same time.
Mushroom Wild Rice
8 oz. mushrooms (cleaned and diced)
1 stick butter
1 Teaspoon crushed garlic
1 box long grain and wild rice (prepare as directed on box)
In a separate pan saute the mushrooms with butter and garlic, drain extra liquid from mushrooms and add to cooked rice and mix well.

Show Your Stuff #119
Welcome back to another edition of Show Your Stuff. I came across a crocheted gift card holder in blog land and then I thought of my Electronic Device Shelled Sock.
I wrote this pattern back in 2010 as cover for my iTouch and intended as cover for electronic devices. As you can see in the picture it is also perfect size for you gift cards. I am thinking that it would work better to hold gift/credit cards than it would for your smart phone.

Show Your Stuff - Turkey Macaroni and Cheese
Welcome back to another edition of Show Your Stuff.
This week I made a dish that I just threw together. I had a pound of ground turkey that I wanted to cook. I searched the web for ideas, but I ended up whipping up something on my own. This dish is similar to the casserole I showed last week. I put ground turkey with onions and green peppers on the bottom. I made up a box of macaroni and cheese (you know, the one in the blue box) and layered it on top of the ground turkey. I made up a a cheese sauce from scratch and layered it on top of the macaroni. I topped it with more cheese and bread crumbs. I baked it for about 30 minutes.
Now it is your turn, I saw some amazing stuff last week....
