Some Things Just Doesn't Belong in Cookies

I made up my Nutella Pudding Cookies, thinking that adding candy would be a good idea.
Candy bars would of been o.k., but I added taffy, Tootsie Rolls, and Cow Tail. As you can see, the taffy ran all over the place. The banana flavor taffy did not taste as well as I hoped either.

But overall it is not that bad.

Creamy Dreamy Apple Butter Pumpkin Dessert

This could be the best pumpkin dessert you EVER had.

Graham cracker crust, sweet cream cheese layer,  and an apple butter pumpkin layer tops off this dessert.

This is so good and yummy, I will not bore you with details and just get right into the recipe so you can make some for yourself.

A sleeve of graham crackers ( about 9 long pieces )
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 cup sugar
8 ounce box cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
2 1/2 cups whipped topping, divided
1 cup apple butter
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 1/3 cup milk
one large box of instant vanilla pudding (or two 3.4 ounce boxes)
1 can of sweetened condense milk
Crush graham crackers into fine crumbs, add sugar and melted butter.  Press into greased 9 x 13 inch pan
You can bake your crust if you want, but not necessary. just make sure it is cool for the next step.

Whip soft cream cheese and powdered sugar. Fold in 1 cup whipped topping. Lay on top of the graham cracker crust.

Mix apple butter, pumpkin, and milk. Add the vanilla pudding and sweetened condense milk. Fold in the remaining 1 1/2 cups of whipped topping.

Refrigerate for 2-3 hours...if you can wait that long... before serving.

Enjoy!

Breakfast For One (Or Two)

The first recipe is a recipe I came across is a vintage cookbook featuring recipes for two. My husband was watching The Chew and they were featuring pancakes. So this automatically put me in the mood for pancakes.  This recipe is a pancake recipe, but I ended up making it in my waffle making. Still good.
This recipe will make 4 pancakes/waffles:
2/3 cup flour
1 1/2 t baking powder
1 1/2 t sugar
1/4 t salt
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup milk
1 T vegetable oil

Sift the dry ingredients, combine the wet ingredients and add dry ingredients. Bake on a hot griddle for pancakes or add to hot waffle maker for waffles.

The second breakfast item is 5 Minute Bread Pudding. I had some left over Golden Nutty Cinnamon Rolls and was wanting to make bread pudding. It was delicous, but I found it not gooey enough. I probably needed to add more wet ingredients like milk, butter, or egg.

Caesar Pasta Salad With Kale

Once I have seen this recipe from Betty Crocker, I knew I had  to try it. My husband was skeptical because he is not a fan of Kale. I did make it and I liked it. The night I made it my husband planned on cooking up some brats. He thought of putting the chopped brats on top of the salad and making a meal out of it. He liked it and I thought it was o.k. I think if I were going to do this again, I would add seafood.
