This time, I am happy with the results. For some reason my brownies did not turn out all that fudgy the first time I made them years ago, this time I was not disappointed. They turned out as delicious as any other fudge brownie recipe.
This recipe is found on the box, or here at Malt-O-Meal's web site.
Edit July 4, 2020: I updated the links for these brownies.
And what the heck, here the recipe from the site:
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter or margarine
- 1 sq. (1-oz.) semi-sweet baking chocolate
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup CHOCOLATE MALT-O-MEAL®, dry
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Heat oven to 350°F. In a 2-quart saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over medium heat. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour into a 9-inch square pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely; cut into bars. Brownies can be frozen and eaten directly from freezer. Yield: 18 brownies.

I used to make this for my 95 year old home health client until his passing. I left my recipe at his home and now I can't seem to pull it up on the web or anywhere. I have a 95 year old home health couple now that I would like to make these for. If you could possibly post the recipe or even take a picture of the recipe on the box and post it I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you
DeleteIt took a while to find the updated web site, but I believe this is the recipe:
