Sausage and Broccoli Rabe Pasta Bake

Ingredients
12 oz. Grated Fontina cheese
3 T. minced garlic
1 diced roasted red pepper
3 large sprigs sage (2 sprigs to cook, 1 for garnish
1 bunch broccoli rabe
¼ C. olive oil
1 lb. Ground sausage (your choice of spiciness)
2 C. Half and half
1 lb. Pasta shells or pasta of your choice
1 C. breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large pot boil pasta according to package directions and drain. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, cook sausage on medium heat with the olive oil (leaving big crumbles of sausage). Drain excess grease and add Garlic, red pepper, 2 sprigs of sage (finely chopped), half and half, salt and pepper. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes on low heat. Then stir in cheese. Add mixture to pasta and stir to coat. Spray a 13x9 casserole dish with pan spray and pour mixture into dish. Sprinkle on breadcrumbs and cook covered for 30 minutes. Then, bake uncovered for another 15 minutes.
