Easy Wisconsin Cheese soup

You don't have to be from Wisconsin or use cheese from Wisconsin to make this soup. I almost guarantee that there isn't any Wisconsin Cheese in this soup.

Easy Wisconsin Cheese soup

Ingredients

1 can White cheese sauce

1 can yellow cheese sauce

2 cups milk

8 oz shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese (6 oz. for soup, 2 oz. for garnish)

2 packages precooked bacon (crumbled)

1 diced white onion

1 green pepper

1 T. minced garlic

2 T butter

3 Stacks diced green onions (garnish)

Instructions

In a stock pot melt butter over medium heat and add onion, pepper, and garlic render until onions are soft. Meanwhile, place bacon in microwave for 1 ½ minutes on high. Place on paper towels to pat grease out of bacon, crumble and set aside. After the onion is cooked down add all your chesses and milk. Stir until combined and smooth. Add bacon and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Serve with a pinch of cheese and green onion on top of soup.
