It is time again for Show Your Stuff. For a while I have making chocolate chip cookies, however I wanted to make a different cookie. I went though my Betty Crocker's Cooky Book and decided to make Molasses Jumbles. The only difference I did was I added white chocolate chips and I used butter instead of shortening. So the ingredients are:
1/4 Butter
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1 cup Molasses
3 1/2 cups Flour
1 T Baking Soda (yes, that is 1 Tablespoon)
1/2 t salt
1/2 cup Cold water
12 oz package white chocolate chips
I creamed the butter, brown sugar, and molasses. I added the remaining ingredients. Drop by round teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes.
I found the molasses flavor a little strong, but I still like it. This might be the cookie for you if you like the flavor of molasses.
So now link up what you are proud to show off.
I AM DEFINITELY GOING TO HAVE TO TRY THESE, MY GRANDFATHER MADE FABULOUS MOLASSES COOKIES, BUT I HAVE YET TO FIND ONE AS GREAT...I REALLY LIKE THE IDEA OF THE WHITE CHOC. CHIPS!!
