I really have been neglecting this blog, my last post was from Thanksgiving. Thank God that my husband is getting better and was able to cook for Christmas. First up are the sweet treats I made, toffee squares and chocolate-covered peanuts. Both covered is chopped walnuts.
I also made some raspberry Jello cookies based on a previous Jello cookie recipe I have done before.
My husband has been making Chex mix.
I made French toast Christmas Eve using Brioche bread from Trader joes. My stepson made a tasty ham dinner on Christmas Eve. I, unfortunately, did not get a photo.
On Christmas morning, my husband made a casserole. We had prime rib.
Here are the sides, candied yams, cherry fluff, and a creamed corn casserole.
For dessert, we just bought an Oreo ice cream log.
We of course, had leftovers, here are some of the leftover dishes: An egg noodle dish with the leftover prime rib, a ramen dish with the ham, and mac and cheese with the ham.
I hope you all had a happy holiday and have a happy new year!
