Raisin Spice Cookies

It has been a weekend of cookie baking, I made oatmeal cream, chocolate chip, and raisin spice cookies. The recipe I am sharing is the raisin spice cookies. One of my husbands favorite. His mom has been making them for years. So I got the recipe from her and here it is:

2 cups of sugar
1 cup of shortening (I use 1/2 butter and 1/2 cup shortening)
2 cups of raisins
2 eggs
2 T milk
1 1/2 t cinnimon
1/2 t cloves
1 t nutmeg
1 t baking soda

So for the flour, my mother-in-law write down:
1 1/2 batches = 4 Cups flour

So I use about 2 3/4 cup flour for a single batch.
And she writes down no other directions, which is o.k. I know how to make cookies :)

So I cream the shortening, sugar, eggs, and milk. Then I add the dry ingredients, adding the raisins last.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet, bake for 8 -10 minute in a 350 degree oven.
