Chocolate Malt-O-Meal Brownies

I f you’ve ever purchased a box of Chocolate Malt-O-Meal, chances are you’ve come across the Fudgy Chocolate Chip Brownie recipe printed on the box. However, my initial attempt at making these brownies left me unimpressed. Perhaps it was because I omitted the chocolate chips the first time around. But this time, armed with a substitution, I decided to give it another shot. Instead of using baking chocolate, I opted for 1/3 cup of baking cocoa, which happened to be readily available in my pantry. You see, I almost always have baking cocoa on hand, but the bars of baking chocolate are a rarity in my kitchen. To my delight, this batch turned out much better. The brownies were fudgy and delicious—a marked improvement from my previous experience. Vintage Buttermilk Waffle Recipe

I love to make waffles, I have multiple blog posts (at least 18) with a variety of ways to make waffles. Here is another recipe I followed from the Betty Crocker cook book I inherited from my grandmother. I do find this book interesting because it is from the 1930's. First I have to mention is still in pretty good condition. That either tells me she took very good care of this book or she did not use it much. I am going to say she hardly used it.
