Berry Cookie

Very Berry Cookies

1/3 C. Butter (softened)
½ C. Shortening
2C. Flour
1 egg
¾ C. Sugar
1 T. Milk
1 ½ t. Baking powder
1 ½ t. Strawberry extract
½ t. Salt
1 C. Cherry Chips
½ C. Shaved Almonds

Preheat oven to 375. Combine Butter, shortening, egg, Sugar, milk, baking powder, salt, and strawberry extract in mixer. Mix until well blended. Add flour, mix well. Add Cherry chips and almonds to mix. Roll out dough on lightly floured counter cut into 3” circles, place on cookie sheet and bake for 7-8 minutes. Makes about 24 cookies.

  4. I would so love it if you'd link this one up for Kids in the Kitchen on Tuesday - it would be great if you can add our button - but not even necessary (nor is having kids in the picture) just family friendly recipes that help bring the family back to the table
