Hi, how is everyone. I am doing another edition of tasty eats. The first up is carrot cake with raisins. There were carrots left over from the chicken soup my son made when we were sick. I have staring at the carrots for a while and used them up in this carrot cake.
This is taco dip that my husband made for the Superbowl. The dip is a layer of refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, salsa, tomatoes and cheese.
I also made tortilla chips and chicken parmesan sliders along with the dip.
This is a ramen "hack". It is ramen noodles with melted mozzarella cheese, butter, and milk. It is topped with sliced chicken breast and pizza sauce (left over from the chicken sliders). I was impressed with this, it was delicious.
Here is another ramen "hack". I believe this is the common recipe that is going around on Tic Tok. I think I messed up the egg portion of this recipe, but it was still tasty.
Finally, I have a cocoa bread. I made this following from a vintage cookbook pamphlet.
To make the bread you will need:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup melted shortening
optional: about 1/4 cup chocolate chips (original recipe did not call for it)
Sift the first five ingredients. Add the remaining ingredients Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake in 350-degree (F) oven for about 45 minutes.
In the mosaic photo, I have some Grown up Grilled Cheese.
