I was sort of thinking poutine , which traditionally is fries, cheese curds, and brown gravy. I made this dish with what I had on hand and what I want to make on a week night after I got home from work. I was hoping I had fries in the freezer, but I did have some corn nuggets. I made up the corn nuggets in my air fryer.
I had recently returned from a trip from my childhood home in Wisconsin, so I had brought back some cheese curds from the trip.
I was thinking about what kind of gravy or sauce to add on top, then I thought about topping it with curry sauce. For something I whipped up on a week night, it turned out tasty. I am not sure if I would make it again. I am not always going to have cheese curds, even though I could easily find them where I am at. Cheese curds are way more special when I get them from my hometown.
I still have a bag of cheese curds in the freezer and I do plan on making a traditional poutine some day.
