Raisin Snack Balls

I thought I would try to make a different kind of breakfast, energy or snack ball besides my peanut butter ones.

I was experimenting with this, so this recipe might be altered in the future. To make these I used:

About 1/2 cup raisins - I finished off the box I had

1/2 T dark corn syrup

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

1/4 cup flax seed

1/2 cup oatmeal.

I had soaked my raisins in about 1/2 cup of water to make them more plump, but hindsight tells me I might not do this in the future. I ran my raisins in my food processor to make it more like a paste.  combine the remaining ingredients. Form into about 1 inch balls. It made 8 balls.

According to a fitness app I have, 1 ball has 136 calories  with 23.9 grams of carbs, 2.9 grams of fat, and 2.4 grams of protein.

Overall I like the peanut butter ones better, but that is only because I like peanut butter.
